Cue Mix ("the App", "we", "us", or "our") is a music discovery application that helps users find, organize, and play long-form DJ sets, live performances, and music mixes. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and protect your information when you use our App.

Information We Collect

YouTube Data

When you connect your YouTube account, we access:

  • Liked Videos: We retrieve your liked videos list to identify music mixes (videos 1 hour or longer containing music-related content)

  • Video Metadata: Title, channel name, duration, thumbnail images, and view counts

We use the YouTube Data API v3 with the youtube.readonly scope, which provides read-only access to your YouTube data.

SoundCloud Data

When you connect your SoundCloud account, we access:

  • Liked Tracks: We retrieve your liked tracks to display in the App

  • Track Metadata: Title, artist, duration, and artwork

Local Device Data

  • Video Library: Access to videos stored in your device's Photos library (with your permission)

  • Playback Preferences: Your playback position, bookmarks, and favorite mixes stored locally on your device

How We Use Your Information

We use your information solely to:

  1. Display your liked videos and tracks within the App

  2. Filter content to surface music mixes and DJ sets

  3. Provide playback functionality

  4. Remember your playback position and preferences

Data Storage

  • Authentication tokens are stored locally on your device using iOS secure storage

  • No server-side storage: We do not transmit or store your personal data on external servers

  • No analytics: We do not collect usage analytics or tracking data

  • Local only: All your preferences, favorites, and playback data remain on your device

Data Sharing

We do not share your data with any third parties.

Your YouTube and SoundCloud data is accessed directly from their APIs and displayed only within the App on your device. We do not:

  • Sell your data

  • Share your data with advertisers

  • Transfer your data to third parties

  • Store your data on our servers

Third-Party Services

The App integrates with:

YouTube (Google)

  • Subject to Google's Privacy Policy

  • Subject to YouTube Terms of Service

  • You can revoke access at any time via Google Security Settings

SoundCloud

  • Subject to SoundCloud's Privacy Policy

  • You can revoke access in your SoundCloud account settings

Your Rights

You have the right to:

  • Disconnect: Remove YouTube or SoundCloud access at any time within the App

  • Revoke Access: Revoke API access through your Google or SoundCloud account settings

  • Delete Data: Uninstalling the App removes all locally stored data

Data Retention

  • We retain your data only while you use the App

  • Authentication tokens are deleted when you disconnect your account

  • All local data is deleted when you uninstall the App

Children's Privacy

The App is not intended for children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any changes by posting the new Privacy Policy in the App and updating the "Last Updated" date.

Google API Services User Data Policy

This App's use of information received from Google APIs adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.

Specifically:

  • We only request data necessary for the App's functionality

  • We do not transfer data to third parties

  • We do not use data for advertising

  • We do not use data for credit/lending decisions

  • We allow users to revoke access at any time
